As AWS Cloud Systems Engineer, you set up and maintain system landscapes in the cloud daily. The applications are hosted on AWS infrastructure. To unburden our customers as much as possible, we work with a standardized platform, which eliminates the complexity and simplifies the roll-out of standard applications.
On the one hand, your role is to help teams leverage the capabilities of AWS, and on the other hand, to see where you can lend a helping hand to the system team. You translate these insights hands-on into software products. In general, we solve as much as possible with native AWS technology, but We write software solutions ourselves. The teams have the freedom to choose which technology fits the relevant use case. You are not necessarily an expert in those domains, but you understand what is important for solid software development.
Together with your colleagues you work on projects for a diversity of customers, and you are involved in the design and implementation of the solution from the start. You think about the non-functional requirements such as performance and security. You work with cutting-edge technology and have a free hand in tool choice.

WE ASK
- HBO or WO degree.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in domain of software development.
Experience with one or more of the following tooling:
- Java
- Angular
- Python
- Node
- Golang
- Spring boot
- Bash
Experience and knowledge of one of the points below :
- 3+ years Experience with developing on AWS
- Knowledge and experience in Scaled environments is a plus
- You have exteCreetionive experience with tools/techs such as: AWS, native serverless applications, code refactoring, migrations
- Experience with writing CloudFormation
- Professional level AWS certification would be an advantage
- Experience with Scrum and/or agile working
- Knowledge and experience of CI/CD
- Knowledge of Microservices architecture (theory) would be an advantage
- Knowledge of OAuth2 / OpenID Connect would be an advantage
- Experience of secure development techniques
